Frederick Schenk, a senior partner of the firm, has extensive expertise in asbestos law. He has been selected by San Diego Magazine as the best asbestos attorney in San Diego. Mr. Schenk is credited with winning the largest punitive damage case against an asbestos company in the San Diego Courts.

In addition to his asbestos cases, Mr. Schenk and his law firm represented Governor Gray Davis in winning the nation's largest settlement against the tobacco industry. The settlement was in excess of 12 billion dollars.

Mr. Schenk is a former president ('94) of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and was recognized as Chapter President of the Year by the Consumer Attorneys of California. He is a Fellow in National Academy of Advocacy and a consulting editor for Matthew Bender's legal publication, Pleading and Practice Volume 8, on automobiles. Additionally, he is an active lecturer and teacher, speaking before associations such as the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Schenk is a Governor Emeritus of the Consumer Attorneys of California and is a member of the State Bar of California. He is also the co-author of LexisNexis publication California Automobile Collision Handbook.
